Privacy Policy
What we collect, what we do not, and the choices you have. Last updated 10 September 2026.
Overview
This policy explains how Online Viro LLC ("we", "us") handles information in connection with onlineviro.com. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run a publishing website.
Information you give us directly
If you email us or call us, we hold the contents of that correspondence so we can reply and keep a record of the exchange. We use it for no other purpose.
The signup form on this site
The "Get cooking tips" form on our home page runs entirely inside your browser. The address you type is validated locally so we can show you a confirmation, and it is not transmitted to us, not stored on a server, and not shared with anyone. Closing the page discards it.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure records standard technical data when a page is requested: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring page, and the date and time of the request. This is used for security, troubleshooting and aggregate traffic measurement.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies and similar browser storage. Essential storage remembers your cookie-banner choice so we do not ask again on every visit. We may also use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which articles are read, in aggregate. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; the site will still work, though your banner preference will be forgotten.
Analytics
Where analytics are in use, they tell us how many people read a page and roughly where they came from. We do not use them to build profiles of individuals and we do not sell any data.
Third parties
Our web fonts are served by Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to that service when a page loads. Our hosting provider processes requests on our behalf. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.
Data retention
Correspondence is kept only as long as it is useful for the matter it relates to, or as required by law. Server logs are retained for a short period and then discarded or aggregated.
Children
This website is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. California residents have specific rights under state privacy law, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. To make a request, email connect@onlineviro.com.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the limited information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The revision date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
